Next to the pub was the old bath-house, on the corner of South Lane. When I was a kid we used to get into through the roof and play around inside the pub, this was long after it closed of course. Not sure when it closed but I would think it was late 50's early 60's.

I'm told that this area used to be called 'Cock Sparrow'.
