MAY FAIR

We don't have many details on this photo, other than that it was the May Fair in 1936.
We have been able to pinpoint the location as being behind Christ Church in South Road, which was demolished in the 1970's, the photo was taken near the little hall/hut that stood behind the main Church building. Today it's the site of the private car park that served the (former) Police station.
The building in the background being the old Meeching Infants School, which was also demolished to make way for the one way road system in the mid 1970's. The empty Co-op Store stands there today!
