My name is John Pike, and I am looking for anybody of today who would have connections or knowledge of the Stedman family from the days of the London & Paris Hotel in Newhaven Sussex England.
John Stedman was the Hotel manager in 1881 along with his wife Elizabeth Stedman nee Copps. Elizabeth's brother was Noah Copps born 1845.
In later years Noah Copps would visit his sister Elizabeth in Newhaven at the London & Paris Hotel and I believe Noah married a local lady by the name of Harriet Burgess. While living in Newhaven two children were born to Noah and Harriet Copps nee Burgess: Bertha Copps B. 1877 and Florence Copps B.1878.
Does anyone have any information however small from this time era please?
Would any of the local Burgess families of today, have any connection with Harriet Burgess or Noah Copps?
