Newhaven car ferries, fast ferries, passenger steamers and cargo boats.
These are vessels that have actually run on the Newhaven service (mostly Newhaven-Dieppe but also to Caen and other ports) plus a few one-off visitors. We've not included the many steamers and car ferries that have laid up at Newhaven over the years. The lists of each group is in chronological order, and is as complete as the archives will allow, but if we've missed a vessel, please let us know!
Our grateful thanks to Newhaven Museum, the Dover Ferries Photos Site and the Fakta Ferry Register for their help with some of the vessels' names and dates.
