Yes i heard that Leon Broski was a polish refugee who arrived in Newhaven just after the 2nd World war He did indeed take the scafffolding from the riverbank to start his scaffold firm starting off by pushing it around the town on a barrow . The firm grew to be a major employer in the town. A keen Skier he built his own ski slope in his yard which was opened to the public does anyone remember this ?
