MEMORIAL BENCH POPPIES
Poppies on Sams Bench

I just visited my Great uncles (Samuel) Memorial Bench on Denton Island and took pictures of the bunch of poppies that were put there, such a lovely touch.
What I could not believe, there were empty beer bottles sprawled over the grass just behind the rappers bench. Why is it so hard for these people to walk up to the bin and throw the empties away, or take them when they leave. I dread to think what their homes and gardens are like. Just because it is a public place you do not make it look like a tip. I think there should be CCTV and should be a fine. Or put bins on the lawn near the benches. Honestly why do these people make places ruined by their rubbish.
