Arromanches was sold in 1964, John, so these two photos of her are earlier than you thought.

Just as a matter of interest at the time that the Aromanches was running there was also her sister ship the Londres, of which I could not find any record of, and the two cargo ships Nantes and Rennie. I think I have got the spelling right for the two passenger ships. This was in the late 40s and 50s. When I used to live in Newhaven.  They bring back many happy memories.

There should be a few pages about Londres on here Dave. Both ships ended up in the Med, running for Greek owners. Arromanches had a good career as Leto, running alongside her former Newhaven stable mate, Lisieux. Londres was not so lucky, gutted by fire a few years after leaving Newhaven.

There were three cargo ships; Rennes, Nantes and Brest.
