Great photos John, do you know where the cricket ground was situated?

Yes it was not where I expected. I have been told it was in the field apposite where the junction of the A26 and B2109 is today. Just north of the cottages in the old New Road which is now a close.

Can you make out what is written on the front of their caps John? Presumably its SHCC  but I cant read it with my magnifying glass.

Hi Terry ,  Yes they have H C C  on their caps.. I will ask the locals to see if they remember where the cricket pitch was.
