Not the Official School Opening

Although there is a planned formal opening of the building by East Sussex County Council, the school governors feel an additional event is justified for this special time, by arranging a second, less formal celebration.

To this end we thought that we could celebrate with some of the success stories from past students.  We would like as many ex-students as possible to contact the school and share their stories with us. We would like to celebrate this information at the event in the form of a 'wall of fame'. It is also our aim to interview and film some willing participants at their place of work; this would be a project for some of our present students.

The aim of this letter is to ask you to come forward or to provide the names and contact details of other ex-Tideway students you think might be willing to take part. Help us by placing them in the most appropriate category so we can contact them. Clearly celebrating this time is important and we wish to share the successes of past students with our community and hopefully inspire current students to focus on what can be achieved in the future. The event is planned for early May 2009.'
