This panoramic view was taken from high up on the cliffs on Castle Hill, just along from the fort. Though the seaward views from the old Coastguard Station are superb, the view looking inland is an interesting one. How many local landmarks can you spot?

Is this from the coastguard station amongst the bunkers on the cliff top or the old station within the fort? The morning I was born my father was on duty in the old lookout in the derelict fort - rather him than me - and had to run home to Meeching Road because someone had released the brake on his truck and allowed it to roll down the hill and into a ditch.
