MILK DELIVERY c1922

A more friendly way than a supermarket

By KEN CROOKS

The picture is of my mother delivering milk in Newhaven about 1922, a practice that was carried on by my family through 4 generations until the year 2000. Does anyone know where it is ?

Lewes Road, showing the corner with Ship Street perhaps? - Andy, Editor.

I used to deliver your mum's meals on wheels Ken, and my second husband, a little scotsman called Andy used to deliver milk over Denton and the Mount in 1974. My 5th child was born during this time and there was many a comment about me having the milkman's baby. All in fun of course!
