Our second car ferry enters harbour

This must have been soon after entering service. The ferries entered stern first - but whether they changed this later I don't know.

At first they all swung outside the harbour and entered stern-first, except in bad weather, when Meeching would assist them to swing in the harbour. The V twins were converted to drive through operation in 1977/78, and entered bow-first after then. Andy - Editor
