In the second picture, the fifth person along from the left, (you can just see his face), is my brother Trevor who spent a few years there. He had cerebral palsy and epilepsy. I have to say he didnt like it there although I think he just didn't like being away from home. Can't say I blamed him at the time. I remember Mum and Dad sent one of our teddy bears to Searchlight to be refurbished. The Teddy is still ok and sits on my landing to this day.

In the second picture, second from left is my Uncle, Terry Dennis. My grandparents used to take over to visit him once a month. Sadly he passed away in 1968, we think of a broken heart. We believe he wanted to marry one of the nurses, but my grandparents refused to allow it. So sad really, he was a lovely man.
