Newhaven Boys School 1948, taken from the bedroom of Ken Attrell who lived at the Surgery Hillside.

The Post Office 1947, Great memories of times past. Some of the staff included Ron Britchfield, Horace Farley, Jean Ellis, Reg Hibling, Maurice Tunbridge, Bernard Pooley, and a number of Postmasters, plus of course the sorting office boys. Mr O,leary, Mr Turbot, Alfie Bryant, Harry Dann, Reg Thomas, Harry Malley, Mr Robinson and some I cannot remember at the moment.

The school is just as i remember it. I was there in the fifties, the black hole to the left we called the underground. Just inside to the right was the secretary's office, then the Headmaster's room. Had to present myself there once for the cane for truancy.
