Yes Bannisters Builders, I started work for them as an apprentice carpenter in August 1961. I did 5 years as an apprentice, then left and worked for them as a sub contractor with a chap called Tony Cornford. Tony was a great influence on me and taught me how to make money from the skills I learnt as an apprentice, it was all about doing the job properly and efficiently. Lessons I have never forgotten. Would be great to speak to him again, if anyone knows where he is let me know please.

Yes I know where he is Terry,  I will be in touch...

W.A. Sweatman was my friend Ginny's dad, in the fifties his was the only shop in town that sold records. Once a week he would put a poster up detailing the latest Top Twenty. Happy days!
