Chartres in SNCF colours
Derek Longly
Chartres was also a relief train ferry on the Dover-Dunkerque run, and became the last ship to exchange rail traffic there, when it was reinstated on a temporary basis owing to the modern replacement trainferry berth, itself now history, being damaged and requiring prolonged repairs at the end of the 1980's. Good to see this article, always enjoyed being aboard the "Chartres".
