Southdown bus pass issued in 1957

Here we have a bus pass still in pristine condition ! Issued to Adele Shires which enabled her to travel between Firle Road, Peacehaven to the Bridge Street bus stop in Newhaven. It started on the first day of the spring term Monday 7th January 1957 and expired on Wednesday 17th April, 1957.

55 years and still in good condition. E-bay collectors might have an interest in that Adele.

Sorry William, Adele has already donated the bus pass to our local Newhaven Museum.

Hi Bill, I'm sure you will be pleased to know that my Bus Pass is now on display in the Museum in a glass cabinet together with memorabilia from the Southdown Bus Company! I wonder if it will still be there in 50 years time?! Best wishes Adele
