I like the picture of the old 'sweat box' as I used to call it. I remember it got very hot in summer when the sun started coming in through all those windows. The classroom at the top left of the block in the photo was my 'home' there for two years, with Mr Ketcher as teacher. Who remembers him, and Mrs Ketcher who also taught there?

I remember when "Old" Southdown used to be on Southdown Road.....and later became part of Tideway school. I went to both 'old' schools and remember it, and lots of you folks, well. Like you Andy, I had the pleasure of Mr Ketcher for a couple of years, do you remember his black plimsoll?
