I think I took these photos down at Newhaven Harbour in the 1970's, but am hoping somebody can remember this ship better than I can!
'Deseado' and her sisterships 'Durango' and 'Drina' were regular visitors, Brenda. Three very smart looking ships. The tug 'Meeching' would be towing her in stern-first, so she would be able to leave port easily. The anchor has been let out to steady the bow of 'Deseado' as she comes through the narrowest part of the harbour entrance. Chances are my late father would have been driving 'Meeching' at the time.
