THE EENDRACHT
Follow up on 1998 Incident

There are a number of dramatic photos on site showing the sail training vessel Eendracht ashore at Tidemills in 1998. I vividly remember the incident as I was driving toward Seaford at the time she was blown ashore and watched the drama unfold. Luckily there were no fatalities.
It was, therefore, with some interest that, when visiting the Tall Ships 2010 event at Hartlepool, I came across the Eendracht looking none the worse for her adventure lying in the town's Victoria Dock. It occurred to me that others who remember the incident may be interested to see her back in service, so here is a picture that I took at Hartlepool on 6th August 2010 showing her alongside.
