July's picture shows Stricklands warehouse which was situated on the North Quay. Sadly, this large warehouse was destroyed by fire in 1940. Crossing the river is the old Victorian swing bridge, manually opened and closed, which was replaced in 1973 by the new mechanically operated bridge.
