A view of Meeching Manor taken Hillside, must be about 1880 looking south, the houses in Fort Road are yet to be built.
Those were the days. I can remember working, as a boy for pocket money, along the River Walk with either straw or hay. But l can't remember what it was for. That was when the harbour was a very busy place. By the way, l was born in 1946.
