Colin, great to see the photos they bring back lots of memories. Both our families were so involved with the Lifeboats weren't they?

Hi Kathleen, even I as a nipper remember your dad Reg, appearing as if out of nowhere to run the winch in the boathouse and then disappearing just as quick out the back door. He tried to explain to me one time how the brakes and gearing on the winch worked, but it was just way too technical for me. Mind I was probably only about 12 at the time.
