We all look forward to Newhaven being upgraded/improved but not by being strangled by a developer who is too ambitious and packing a load of ghastly designed apartments. If they were attractive to look at and reasonably priced a whole load would not be still available! I have my yacht in the marina and already the loss of car parking for all of us, plus if the developers get away with phase 3(nine more blocks) then we cannot any longer have fin keel yachts either launched nor lifted out. No secure car parking for 300 odd vessels owners, no recycling bins, precious little shower/toilet space planned, what parking has been suggested is quite unacceptable whether it be summer or winter. Lewes District Council seem to have rubber-stamped it all. Not even sure money still around for both developers nor potential apartment owners with the squeeze beginning to bite...
