The first picture shows 3 beam trawlers the outside one was skippered by Ben Johnson and was the first beam trawler to work out of Newhaven. This method of fishing was unpopular but very effective for catching Dover Soles. Second picture is of my second boat the "George Clements" which was bought from Salcombe I have fond memories of her. Next to the quay is Tony Dunwells "Osprey" I worked with Tony on the old wooden Osprey which he brought from Bridlington.
