NEWHAVEN FC v DOUDEVILLE

Once a year Newhaven Football team travelled to Doudeville in France to play the local team. The home game was played in April - away match in May. The first picture shows the programme from their second visit on 2nd April 1956 the second programme is for 1958. Judging by the number of programmes available for different years, this annual event must have carried on for quite a number of years.

I note that two of my Brothers were in this match, Brian and George Patten. George died in Canada aged 65 in 1990.
