A nice picture showing the old "Public Slipway", where I believe you could launch small boats for free, a utility craftily (excuse the pun) & cleverly removed, but not replaced in the regeneration of Newhaven.

If you look at the picture carefully...at the location of the photo, it was taken from Denton Island. further up the river. As it looks like the slipway was close to the swing bridge. and if I got it right. It's still there today on Denton Island?.

Not quite Tom this little slipway was just north of the old swing bridge, which would be south of the new bridge today! Not on Denton Island.   A/Editor   John
