Plan with deeds for one plot of land to build two houses (42 & 44 ) Lewes Road dated 1897.  The total cost £67 & ten shillings.

The plots are for dwellings only and the cost of building them must not be below £200 each, including any outbuildings.

Once built, number 44 was sold for £300 with a private, no interest, loan from a lady who lived at number 2, Brighton Road.

The house has changed hands four times since that date.
