Newhaven football team ready to board the cross channel ferry for their away match with Doudeville in 1958. Also present are members of the committee & town council members.
The very short man at the bottom left is GLR "Biff" Lapierre. He was a fabulous school teacher and was Chairman of the County Council for some time. Very big on the football scene too.
I always wondered who Mr Lapierre was he always used to be at special assemblies at school.
