SOUTHDOWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

I think the young girl sitting at the left of the front row may be my sister Elizabeth. She tells me that the year would be correct and she remembers most of the names. Does anyone know some of the girls' names to help her recall?

As a P.S. to my comment. It is my sister. Looking through the family's old photos, we found the individual photo taken at the same time.

I think this photo is Southdown school and the teachers were Mr Smith and Mrs Angel. My brother Barry was in this class.

Hi - I have this photo also. It's of the School Choir, Southdown Primary School (now part of Tideway) in June 1960 and choir members came from at least three different years (there are older and younger people than me).
Back row is: Mr Smith, Anne Gay, Angela Moore, Gillian Swaysland, Linda Rayner, Sheila Harvey, Sigrid Higgs, Janet Smith and Mrs Angel.
Middle row is: ?Stevenson, Dave King, David Richardson, Dave Boniface, Roy Holder, Keith Holder, Chris Jarvis, Michael Jeffery, Bill Morris.
Front row is: Elizabeth Gilbert, Susan Herriott, Mary Paddock, Margaret Whitfield, Janice Paddock, Linda Browning, Margaret Shepherd, Jeanette Parsons
Cross-legged on the floor are Dennis Bartholomew, Bill Kingshott and Len Lipscombe

That's my Dad, Roy Holder, at the end of the third row.  My uncle Keith Holder is also in the photo, he moved to America many years ago but is sadly no longer with us.

Yes that is me Susan Herriott now McKenzie living in Waterlooville Hants. I still keep in touch with Elizabeth Gilbert.

Which Southdown is this because the one in North Wales Buckley is the one I'm looking for info on.

The clue is in the title of the website Matteo "Our Newhaven" in this case it is the Newhaven in Sussex which is where the Southdown School is located.. Hope this helps.
