NEWHAVEN TOWN STATION

1944 and the end of World war 2 is still a year away. The train shown here is on its way to Seaford and it still has protective mesh on the drivers windows to prevent splintering in case of bomb damage. Note the small cutout area so the driver can see out. Also the canopy ( and buildings ) on this platform removed sometime in the 1970's I believe.
