Delighted to see this picture. The buildings to the right of the picture are Convent cottages, one of which my husband Tony and I now own. We have lived here since 1997 when we bought it from the Metcalfe family. Sylvia was the owner then and the house had been in her family for some thirty odd years. Her father Charlie was well known in Newhaven especially as the town centre's window cleaner with his white dungarees and old wooden ladder. Thanks for posting this photo.
