This is a great picture looking North across the harbour. Having worked at the Fort now for nearly 9 years I can safely say that you're close but this is a view from the Castle Hill Emergency Battery built during WW2 to mount three 6" guns in 45 degree mounts to replace the ageing guns at the Fort. The bunker in the bottom left of the picture was the Battery Plotting Room and the concrete hard-standing at the bottom right had a Nissen Hut on it. There are some great pictures of the Battery and Castle hill at the Maritime Museum. The guns at the Castle Hill battery were in battleship style turrets with additional cover from concrete cannopies.
