SOUTH ROAD OUTING EARLY 1960s

By Brian Urry

In the early 1960's Mr Breeds, who used to live at number 5 South Road, treated residents to a number of days out. This photograph was taken outside of number 5 - you can see the shop sign which was at number 9. I lived at number 3, which is now part of the guest house.

I remember this trip, I sat behind the driver and we went to Littlehampton fun fair and had a great day out.
Hooray for Mr Breeds! He knew how to keep the kids happy in South Road.

Thanks for this Robert - do you have any memories of other outings you went on? Jackie - Our Newhaven Editor
