Meeching Girls School - c1914

The following photograph was taken in the playground of the old Meeching Girls school in Dacre Road (South Way) now the multi story car park, unfortunately the only pupil I can name is Gladys Hill (Ladd) my late grandmother, who was born in 1906. The next picture shows pupils of the Meeching Girls school inside the Christchurch Hall, this building was situated in South Road, the hall and church was demolished around 40 years ago, this site now has the Police Station on it, again the only pupil I can name is Gladys Hill (Ladd).
