These pictures are of Grays Infants School taking part in the Childrens Carnival.
I remember the year of the water babes float, it rained all the time we were decorating it.
My sons Anthony and Nigel went to Grays Nursery, and Grays infants so as a family we were very much involved.

The gathering of the children following the carnival, was held in the grounds of Grays Nursery School. The house in the background had stood in the play ground for at least 30 years and was only destroyed in 2011. The two children closest to the front, are Stuart Barrett and Simon Ditton.
