Newhaven in WW1

I have a photograph of my Grandfather in uniform. He lived in Sussex Place, Newhaven. As far as I have been able to find out he was a driver in the East Lancashire Regiment. He served in France, was gassed twice being invalided home both times. He survived but died in 1949 aged sixty due to the long term effects of the gas. I still have his Medals.
