Pollution levels in Newhaven

In this week's Sussex Express, there is an article stating that Newhaven may have to join one of the Special Air Quality Management Zones, because of the increase in pollution in the last year or so. Around half of the London boroughs are already classified as such areas. Now what could possibly have been built recently to have caused all this polution. Hmm?
