Westside of old swing bridge

Does anybody remember the Fisherman with his barrow who used to stand on the east side of the bridge selling his catch around the early to mid 1960's.He was my Dad and had his boat tied up on landing stage no.18?

Editors note:-

I seem to remember him on the westside of bridge near where the car is parked in the picture above or sometimes opposite that pitch.

I remember as a kid there being a barrow on the West side of the bridge near a small slipway where my mum would buy fish. Pre-Northway days.

He used to set up on the other side (Denton Island side) by the public loos. I think the van in the picture was our first van.

Before Rocky, was there someone called 'Niner' who had a fish barrow there?  I used to buy fish off Rocky when he had his barrow, also later when he ran the little pre-fab shop in Chapel Street next to The Jolly Sailor  -  I can picture him as though it was yesterday!

Probably Bill Niner on the earlier barrow Bruce.

That was not our van in the picture. We had a Ford 10 van and it was Red, after that we had a Grey Austin J4 van.
