Could they possibly be the little row of cottages to the left of the entrance to the quarry facing the recreation ground off of Court Farm Road ? The quarry was, I believe, originally owned/operated on behalf of the Earl of Sheffield who was a landowner, hence the Sheffield Arms pub.
