Re: Brighton Scaffolding

Leon Borowski was my uncle, he didn't arrive in Newhaven until later, he started off living as an "artful" or lodger at my grans house in Blackheath, south London and working with my other uncle George Graham ( who subsequently moved to Newhaven along with my Aunty Doris and their daughter Jennifer), took a shine to my Aunt Gladys, who had a nice house in Beresford Rd on Mount Pleasant, and devided agter they were married to start a scaffolding business in Newhaven. It was rumoured his first big job was in Eastbourne, lacking a lorry he took the tube and fittings on the Southdown bus! Lovely man, I worked for him in 1970 when I came back from travelling in Europe.
